What is a Structural Insulated Panel System or SIPs?

Structural Insulated Panel System or SIPs are most commonly made of OSB panels sandwiched around a foam core made of expanded polystyrene (EPS), extruded polystyrene (XPS) or rigid polyurethane foam, but other materials can be used. Some SIPs use fiber-cement or plywood for the panels, and agricultural fiber, such as wheat straw, for the core.

SIPs are manufactured under factory controlled conditions and can be custom designed for each home. The result is a building system that is extremely strong, energy efficient and cost effective.

For developers, builders, business owners and corporations the speed and quality of construction is the most important part of building. Building with SIPs will save you time, money and labor.

Most people ask, how much labor can I save with SIPs? Because SIPs are prefabricated, the amount of additional framing required is minimal. SIPs are always straight and true, there are far fewer callbacks, no culling studs, or need to straighten walls. SIPs also provide a uniform nailing surface for both interior and exterior finishing.

Green Energy Installers, LLC will work with your architect and engineer to provide a fast and professional installation of SIPs.

For home owners that want to install the system themselves Green Energy Installers, LLC will supply the system and offer project management consulting to help the home owner with permits and coordination of other trades.
